The group, which is dedicated to the British National Party, opted to use an illustration of superhero the Green Arrow pencilled by The Losers artist Mark Simpson. The drawing was taken from his 2007 limited series Green Arrow: Year One.
Simpson - better known by his pen name Jock - has hit out at the organisation's use of his work. "This is leaving a horrible taste in my mouth," he wrote on his Twitter account.
He has reportedly contacted DC Comics' legal department for advice on resolving the issue.
Green Arrow: Year One, written by Andy Diggle, tells the backstory of Oliver Queen, detailing how he came to take up the mantle of the titular crimefighter. It is currently available in trade paperback courtesy of DC Comics.
