'Dante's Inferno' comic debuts
The first issue of the Dante's Inferno comic book is now available at retail level, publisher WildStorm Productions has announced.

Based on the upcoming EA video game, Dante's Inferno #1 centres on the murder of the titular character's lover Beatrice and his decent into hell to reclaim her soul. The book is written by Christo Gage and drawn by Diego Latorre.

"We've been incredibly lucky to get the talented artists of WildStorm to contribute their inspired craft to the Dante's Inferno epic," said producer Justin Lambros. "The vivid artwork from Diego Latorre just screams out of the page, and Christo Gage's thoughtful words breathe life and give soul to Dante and Beatrice.

"We can't wait to see what gamers think of the comic, and we think comic fans will love the game once it hits stores on February 9."

Based on an epic 14th century poem, the game follows Dante as he braves the Nine Circles of Hell to retrieve his lover's soul.

Dante's Inferno will be released for Xbox 360, PC and PS3 on February 9, 2010.
