'Darksiders' coming to comics?

THQ's video game property Darksiders could be heading to new mediums, VG247 reports.

According to comic scribe Joe Madureira - who acted as creative director on the action RPG - THQ is in negotiations to bring the title to film and comics.

"We've gotten some interest from Hollywood, we've talked about doing a comic series," he said. "It's really a THQ thing, but I know they are definitely talking to people and I would be surprised if some of that stuff didn't happen."

Darksiders is an action-adventure in which the player takes control of War, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Embarking on a journey across a ruined earth, the plot sees the character investigating the cause of a premature judgement day.

The game was released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in North America on January 5. It arrives in Europe today.
