Druckmann to make graphic novel debut

Writer Neil Druckmann is to make his graphic novel debut next month with A Second Chance at Sarah.

The scribe is best known for penning the hit video games Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and its sequel Among Thieves. He also wrote the tie-in motion comic The Eye Of Indra, which was released as a prequel to the original game.

Published by Ape Entertainment, A Second Chance at Sarah is a supernatural love story involving time travel. In an interview with CBR, Druckmann revealed details of its plot.

"It's about a husband, Johnny, whose wife falls into a mysterious coma after giving birth to their first child," he explained. "Johnny discovers that his wife Sarah made a deal with a demon several years ago, and her soul was just collected.

"Desperately, Johnny makes his own deal with the demon and is sent back in time to his youth. Now, as a teenager again, Johnny has 24 hours to befriend his future wife, uncover why she made the deal with the demon, and stop her from going through with it."

The 94-page book features illustrations by Joysuke Wong. A preview of the first 24 pages is available via the publisher's website.

A Second Chance at Sarah arrives in stores on February 24.
