According to Mania, actress Stephanie Lemelin revealed that she has been cast as Arrowette in the cartoon via her website. However, the report has since been removed.
"I am beyond thrilled to announce that I was recently cast in the new animated series Young Justice League based on the famous DC Comics," said Lemelin. "I seriously could not be more excited about being welcomed into this amazing family.
"Due to the extreme popularity of this series, however, that's about all I can say… for now. [I am] so excited, this is really a dream come true for me, I have always wanted to be a Saturday morning cartoon."
The venture is thought to be based on Peter David's ongoing Young Justice comic, which featured Robin, Superboy, Impulse, Wonder Girl and new heroines Secret and Arrowette. The book ran between 1998 and 2003 before its characters were integrated into Teen Titans.
DC and Warner Bros are expected to make an official announcement regarding Young Justice League over the coming months.
