Robert Kirkman (Invincible) and Marc Silvestri (Uncanny X-Men/Dark Avengers: Utopia) continue their work on 2009's Pilot Season, which offers readers a series of first issues and allows them to vote on which one will be made into an ongoing series.
Illustrated by Bernard Chang (The Second Life of Dr Mirage), Pilot Season: Stellar tells the story of the eponymous heroine, a genetically-engineered human banished from Earth when she proves poisonous to mankind.
"With Stellar, I have the opportunity to inject emotion and mood into a story centered on technology," said Chang. "I'm anticipating the challenge to fully flesh out Stellar and I'm glad both Robert and Marc invited me to join them on the project."
The current Pilot Season - which has run annually since 2007 - has been written exclusively by the creative team of Kirkman and Silvestri.
Pilot Season: Stellar will be released in April.
