IDW Publishing announces 'Pantheon'

IDW has announced its new Greek myth-inspired title Pantheon.

The five-issue miniseries will be created by Greek-American actor Michael Chiklis, Anny Simon Beck and Marc Andreyko (Manhunter).

Pantheon is set in a war-torn, near-future Earth where the Greek gods have returned to battle for the fate of mankind.

"As a kid, Greek gods were very real to me, so the chance to bring my childhood heroes and villains to life in the modern world is irresistible," Chiklis told CBR.

"Besides, I couldn’t say no to Zeus... no-one in the family would ever talk to me again."

Chiklis appeared as the Thing in the movie adaptation of Marvel's Fantastic Four.

Pantheon will be launched in April at WonderCon in San Francisco.
