Speaking to Comics Continuum, supervising producer Alan Burnett confirmed that the archery master is next in line for the cartoon treatment. The exec also revealed that a fourth short is in the works, but did not divulge which character it will focus on.
The DC Showcase series was unveiled last summer when Warners outlined plans to release shorts based on Jonah Hex and The Spectre. During the interview, Burnett disclosed details of the upcoming Spectre project.
"[The Spectre] is not an easy character, because he's the spirit of vengeance and [he] can do anything," he said. "Steve [Niles] has written an interesting story about him and I think people will like it. It's very different from other superhero stuff that we've done."
The Spectre comes bundled with the Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths DVD on February 23. Official release dates for the other shorts are yet to be announced.
