Titled 'Under The Mask', the two-issue plotline will conclude Hine's Jeremiah Arkham saga. It follows the Dick Grayson incarnation of Batman as he journeys into Gotham's infamous asylum.
"As the title suggests, we're ripping off the masks to show the naked faces that lie beneath," Hine told CBR. "The theme of masks, both literal and metaphorical, has been running through all the work I've done for DC.
"I'm fascinated by the nature of identity, what makes us what we are. Superhero comics are all about the characters we invent for ourselves, the faces we choose to present to the world."
Drawn by artist Jeremy Haun, the story will tie in with 'Battle For The Cowl: Arkham Asylum' and 'Arkham Reborn'. It will tie up loose threads from its predecessors but also stand alone.
'Under The Mask' begins in Detective Comics #864 in April.
