The 'Alex Cross' creator is to release a five-part comic venture based on his young adult novel series Witch & Wizard. Adapted by Dara Naraghi, the book will be released under the subtitle 'Battle For Shadowland'.
Following the release of Wizard, Alexander Irvine will adapt another Patterson bestseller The Murder of King Tut for IDW. The author will be "heavily involved" in the story direction on both projects.
"Comics could reach a much larger audience than they do right now. With all of the quality work and talent that's out there, this industry could be so much bigger," Patterson told USA Today. "I love to tell stories. I want my stories to reach as many people as possible."
Witch & Wizard arrives in stores in May. The Murder Of King Tut will follow in June.
