Schultz announces limited 'Spirit' run

The Prince Valiant writer revealed that other commitments mean that he will only be able to write a short arc for the series.
"[The planned run] was pretty open-ended and basically, what it came down to was the commitment - the time I was going to need to put into this, in addition to other things that are on my plate right now," Schultz told CBR. "I had taken on too much.
"The Spirit is one of the few established characters that I have a real interest in contributing to. One of the few properties that I would even consider doing.
"I have a number of my own projects that I feel - just because they're my own projects, and I have the opportunity to realise them - that I have to do them. They're my first priority. But it's tough to give up The Spirit."
The Spirit series will be set in the Brian Azzarello-conceived 'First Wave' universe.
Mark Schultz's The Spirit will debut on April 21.
