Image unveils 'Random Acts Of Violence'

Written by Power Girl duo Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray, the book is inspired by horror icons Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees and Michael Myers.
According to the scribes, the storyline focuses on two comic book writers, whose creation 'Slasherman' takes on a life of its own and embarks on a killing spree.
"It's a horror tale that twists several of the genre's conventions. At times, it feels like The Hangover meets Silence Of The Lambs. How's that for a combination?" Gray told CBR.
"Random Acts Of Violence plugs into and twists the human need to belong and identify with something bigger than ourselves. There's always been a fear that video games, music or comics lead directly to violence and the decay of civilisation, [and] Slasherman is a Frankenstein monster that grows into a blood-soaked pop culture disaster."
Featuring interior art by Giancarlo Caracuzzo and a cover design from Tim Bradstreet, the book consists of 72 pages and retails at $6.99 (£4.60).
Random Acts Of Violence arrives in stores on April 28.
