'Detective Comics' wins GLAAD award

The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation named the Batwoman-starring run on the title as 'Outstanding Comic', reports Robot 6.
Greg Rucka, J.H. Williams and Cully Hamner's critically-acclaimed stint featured Batwoman Kate Kane in the lead story and her former lover Renee Montoya - aka The Question - in the supporting feature.
Both characters are openly gay.
Batwoman will again receive a starring role in a forthcoming ongoing title, with Rucka and Williams at the helm once more.
Other nominees for the award were Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Madame Xanadu, Secret Six and X-Factor.
