The series, titled 'The City of Abacus', is a collaborative effort between Brown and director and illustrator David Allian.
Speaking on her blog, the singer said: "I'm very excited about it! I won't go into the details but it's gonna be off the chain!
"I love comic books and the symbolism of it all... there is so much different kinds of art I want to explore. I just wanna be spider woman and do it all."
The series is rumoured to be set in the corrupt city of Abacus, where music is banned and thoughts are controlled by its ruler.
'The City of Abacus' will be released in instalments throughout 2010, with a graphic novel scheduled for the end of the year.
