The daxamite - who possesses similar powers to Kal-El - has been the star of Superman for the last year during the events of World of New Krypton.
Mon-El will be disappearing from modern-day continuity after Adventure Comics #11 and appearing in the 31st century as a part of Paul Levitz's Legion of Super-Heroes.
The character has a long history with Levitz's Legion, appearing as a member of the team after spending 1,000 years in the Phantom Zone.
"We're basically giving [Levitz] all of those things he created back," writer James Robinson said at Emerald City ComiCon's 'Superman Goes to War' panel.
Adventure Comics #11 - a part of the 'Brainiac and the Legion of Super-Heroes' crossover - will be released in May.
