Launching in June, Marvelman Classic Primer is a commemorative one-shot celebrating the character's history written by John Rhett Thomas.
The book features interviews with the writers and artists responsible for the hero's rise to prominence, such as creator Mick Anglo and scribe Neil Gaiman. It also includes pin-ups of key Marvelman characters drawn by Mike Perkins, Doug Braithwaite, Miguel Angel Sepulveda, Jae Lee, Khoi Pham and Ben Oliver.
Classic Primer will be followed by the launch of a new ongoing comic titled Marvelman Family's Finest in July. According to the publisher, the series will compile the character's "greatest adventures".
In addition to the special one-shot and the ongoing series, Marvel is also reissuing the superhero's earliest adventures in hardcover with the launch of Marvelman Classic Vol.1 in June.
