The artist is writing new material for his original CyberFrog comic for WildStorm, as well as collaborating with Gail Simone on a new DC project, reports CBR.
Red-headed writer Simone entered the room during the Q and A section to ask Van Sciver if he would "ever consider working with a particular writer with red hair?"
"Consider it? I'm committed to it," he responded, explaining that the pair had a forthcoming project for DC.
"I honestly haven't been this excited since Sinestro Corps," he said. "I hadn't felt this way until Gail and I started working on this thing. You guys are gonna love this thing. It's fantastic."
Van Sciver refused to name the comic, joking that complaints about delays on Flash: Rebirth have convinced him to complete more work on the title before it is announced.
He also spoke about how small press writers inspired his work on CyberFrog.
"I used to go to comic book shops and look at the stuff on the bottom shelf, the companies that couldn't afford colour," he said.
"The real indie books that I loved. I love Ed Wood movies. I love Mystery Science Theater 3000. I love things that people put their heart and passion into, but with results that don't really pay back dividends."
