The Sportsmen's Alliance recently issued several phone calls, an email and a letter to Bluewater Productions, the publisher of the Female Force: Ellen DeGeneres comic book, according to E Online.
The Alliance requested that Bluewater sever ties with the Humane Society, a charity handpicked by DeGeneres to benefit from the sale of the book.
A representative for the publisher said that Bluewater will not be considering the Alliance's request. "While we respect your right to disagree with the goals of The Humane Society of the United States a Bluewater we do not share your concerns about the organisation," the company stated.
The Female Force series, written by Sandra C. Ruckdeschel, also features Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey and Hillary Clinton.
