The book took the accolade for 'Best Horror Comic Book' after receiving more votes from the general public than its competitors.
Written by Steve Niles and drawn by Kelley Jones, the 12-issue series ran between May 2008 and April 2009. The story featured many villains from Batman's old rogues gallery, as well as the new antagonist Midnight.
Introduced in 2002, the Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards are presented by the Classic Horror Film Board to recognise research, scholarship and creativity in keeping classic horror, science fiction and fantasy alive.
Movie District 9 and Rue Morgue magazine were among this year's winners in their respective categories.
