According to Bleeding Cool, Italian firm Panini Group - who licence Marvel across South America and Europe - could be threatened by the move.
As Disney considers Panini a competitor, it is thought that the firm could withdraw the licence in favour of establishing its own publishing operations in the territories.
Disney completed its big money acquisition of Marvel Entertainment late last year.
The international licensing deal was agreed two days ago.
