Mighty Crusaders will feature a team including the Shield, the Comet, the Web, the Fox, the Inferno and some yet-to-be-introduced characters.
The series will be co-written by regular collaborators Eric Trautmann and Brandon Jerwa (The Shield) and illustrated by Julian Lopez (Outsiders).
"The Mighty Crusaders are a government sponsored superteam," Jerwa told Newsarama.
"There's a public relations presence around their official formation and introduction to the citizens of the DCU, and that's where we pick up the story.
"The team's been together for a little while, but they're making their debut as a team, in terms of the public's perception of them."
DC recently made the Red Circle a part of its mainstream continuity after purchasing the characters from Archie Comics.
Mighty Crusaders will debut in July.
