DC Comics has released a teaser for next week's Superman #699.
Written by James Robinson and drawn by Richard Chang, the comic serves as the penultimate chapter in the 'Last Stand Of New Krypton' story arc.
"Superman has defeated Brainiac before, but it cost him the life of his father. Now Brainiac has returned, more powerful than ever, and the entire planet of New Krypton is at stake," read the publisher's synopsis.
"Things look bleak for the Man of Steel and his people, but for all Brainiac's knowledge, he still has one lesson to learn: Superman. Never. Gives. Up."
The issue bears a cover design from Wonder Woman artist Aaron Lopresti.
Superman #699 arrives in stores on April 28.
