'Fractured Fables' anthology announced

Image Comics and Shadowline are to release an anthology titled Fractured Fables this summer.
The joint venture sees a host of traditional fairy tales receive a humourous twist from an all-star cast of writers and illustrators.
"Fractured Fables is [a] pure labour of love. This book was meant to happen from the start," said Shadowline publisher Jim Valentino.
"The creators who worked on it were so enthusiastic, and we've really got something special in Fractured Fables. This book will introduce a whole new generation of fans to comic books."
Featuring a cover by Mike and Laura Allred, the hardcover includes contributions from Jill Thompson, Bryan Talbot, Peter David, Ben Templesmith, Terry Moore, Scott Morse and others.
Fractured Fables is released on July 14. A free sample issue will be available on May 1 to celebrate Free Comic Book Day.
