Marvel previews 'Avengers' reboot

Marvel Comics has released a preview for the first issue of its Avengers reboot.
Written by Brian Michael Bendis and drawn by John Romita Jr, the 'Heroic Age' title sees the reunion of the classic Avengers trinity of Thor, Captain America and Iron Man.
The publisher's solicitation reads: "Avengers #1 ushers in a new era for the Marvel Universe as the world's greatest heroes assemble once again. But what deadly threats await them? And who makes the team?
"Find out on May 19th on the first inaugural Avengers Day, as participating retailers worldwide celebrate this landmark Marvel Universe issue with special variant covers, prints and more!"
Marvel is also offering readers the chance to have their likeness appear in the book. Those who wish to enter are required to submit a photo at iamanavenger.com. Entrants must be over 18.
