The publisher released updated information for Thor #611, which shows that it will be penned by Gillen (Phonogram, Siege: Loki) with pencils by Rich Elson (2000 AD, Marvel Zombies Return: Hulk).
"As Siege concludes, the Marvel Universe embraces the Heroic Age," reads the solicitation. "But rising-star writer Kieron Gillen and artist Rich Elson reveal Loki's latest machinations as Thor is sent on a dangerous journey…to Hell!"
The issue was originally scheduled to be the first written by Matt Fraction (Invincible Iron Man, Uncanny X-Men).
Gillen also appears as the writer in the solicitation for Thor #612.
"Stay tuned - we've got some exciting news about Matt and Pasqual, but right now we're all jazzed about the great stuff Kieron has planned," a Marvel spokesperson told Robot 6.
Thor #611 will be released on May 23.
