Marvel Comics has announced Namor: The First Mutant, an ongoing series starring the king of Atlantis.
The first story arc in the Stuart Moore (Iron Man: Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.) penned and Ariel Olivetti (Cable) pencilled title will tie in with the forthcoming X-Men storyline 'The Curse of the Mutants'.
The crossover launches with the new ongoing X-Men title, and sees the world's mutants falling prey to a vampire plot.
"Namor may be able to end the vampire threat, but is he willing to sacrifice Atlantis?" said Marvel. "And what can stop the threat of...the Atlantean vampires?"
Namor was inducted into the X-Men fold during the events of 'Dark Reign' and the 'Utopia' crossover last year.
Namor: The First Mutant will be released in August.
