Manning Award nominees announced

Comic-Con International has announced the nominees for the 2010 Manning Award.
The award recognises "superior knowledge and ability" of comics artists early on in their careers and has run annually since 1982.
The nominees are Marc Borstel (The Misadventures of Clark and Jefferson), Marion Churchland (Beast), Sarah Oleksyk (Ivy) Julian Totino Tedesco (Unthinkable) and Charles Paul Wilson III (Stuff of Legends).
The awards are named in honour of Russ Manning, best known for his work on the Tarzan and Star Wars newspaper strips.
The winner will be announced as part of the Eisner Awards ceremony on July 23 at Comic-Con International, San Diego.
