Publisher Oni Press has launched a promotion to ensure that the final volume of Bryan Lee O'Malley's popular series will arrive in comic stores on the same day as bookstores.
While common for blockbuster movies and video games, a midnight launch is unusual for a comic book release. However, previous titles such as Avengers and Marvel's Stephen King adaptations were given experimental late night launches.
Participating retailers include Secret Headquarters in Tallahassee, FL, A Comic Shop in Winter Park, FL, Chapel Hill Comics in North Carolina, Austin Books & Comics in Texas and Comickaze in San Diego, reports Bleeding Cool.
Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour will be available to buy on July 20.
