iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users can purchase DC books via an exclusive app, while PSP owners can access them through the platform's Digital Comics service.
"At DC Comics, it has been a top priority that DC forges a meaningful, forward-looking digital strategy," said co-publisher Jim Lee.
"As both a comic book creator and co-publisher, it was incredibly important that our plan includes not only creator incentive payments, but also an innovative component that supports comic shop owners. We see digital as an opportunity to grow our entire business."
Launch titles include classics from DC's core line as well as WildStorm and Vertigo releases. Batman: Hush, All-Star Superman, Sandman, Green Lantern: Rebirth and more are now available to download.
To promote its arrival on the digital scene, DC is offering readers a free ten-page preview of J. Michael Straczynski's Superman #700, which retails this week.
DC Comics' exclusive app is available to download via iTunes and the App Store. Over 80 titles can also be purchased through PSN.
