'Battle Angel Alita' on indefinite hold

According to Eastern Standard, the move follows reports that the creator was contacted by an editor requesting dialogue changes for an original series reprint.
Kishiro allegedly told the editor that making the revisions could lead to him missing the deadline for the title's 100th issue and his refusal to permit further reprints.
The requested changes were carried out and the deadline met, but the creator placed the book on hiatus and its future is thought to be in doubt.
Last Order #100 shipped on June 19. It is available in the West courtesy of Viz Media.
