Avengers Academy #2 will focus on new character Finesse, shown in the first issue to be capable of instantly learning new skills and knowledge, but lacking any social interaction skills.
Gage told Comics Continuum that he will use established Avengers character Quicksilver to showcase Finesse, as the two characters have many similarities.
"We'll look at Quicksilver who has been on both sides of the fence, he's been a teen hero and a teen villain," Gage explained. "We'll see how they relate to each other since he's been down the road she's going down."
Gage also revealed that he will bring back a classic Avengers villain from the 1970s in this issue, a robotic character called Arsenal.
Avengers Academy launched in June as part of a relaunch of Marvel's Avengers line following the the events of Siege.
In the debut issue, six mostly new characters were introduced believing that they were being trained by the Avengers to be the next generation of heroes, but discovered that they were being trained because the Avengers feared that they would become a new generation of villains.
