The five-part story arc is called 'The Trial of Captain America' and will feature the current Captain America Bucky Barnes put on trial for reasons currently unknown, although they are thought to link with Bucky's actions as a brainwashed Soviet spy in his days as the Winter Soldier.
The story will somehow involve long-time Captain America villain Baron Helmut Zemo, who returned in Captain America #606 and has since being doing everything possible to discredit Bucky and isolate him from his allies.
"I've looked at previous superhero trials and their issues and charges and this one is going to approach it from a different angle," writer Brubaker revealed to Newsarama.
When asked about what supporting characters from the rest of the Marvel Universe may appear in the arc, Brubaker teased: "We should see a pretty full court coming to his defence on the superhero community side."
'The Trial of Captain America' begins in Captain America #611 released this October.
