Published Monday, Jul 19 2010, 19:38 BST | By Tom Ayres

The original science fiction novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs is generally considered a piece of classic pulp fiction and predates the author's most well known creation, Tarzan.
The series will be written by Arvid Nelson and pencilled by Stephen Sadowski and Lui Antonio.
"I think Mars is going to be something really special," Nelson told Newsarama. "We're doing this adaptation the right way."
"We plan to capture all the grit and action of the original," said Nick Barrucci, President of Dynamite Entertainment.
The company will offer the first issue of Warlord of Mars at a discounted price and the series is scheduled to be published in October 2010.
