Speaking at the Mondo Marvel panel, newly appointed vice president C.B. Cebulski confirmed the Guardians of the Galaxy spinoff, which will be written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning with art by Tim Green, reports CBR.
Lanning was unable to reveal many details about the series without spoiling the ongoing Thanos Imperative miniseries.
"Groot will refer to himself as Groot, and Rocket will fire some unfeasibly large cannons," he said.
"Who would have thought only a couple years ago that we'd have a Rocket Raccoon and Groot miniseries?"
Mike Mignola will provide covers for the series.
