DC Comics have announced that Grant Morrison will receive a new ongoing Batman title following the end of his time as writer on Batman & Robin.

The Batman line of titles will soon receive a major reshuffle beginning with Morrison's one-shot Batman: The Return following the conclusion of current miniseries The Return of Bruce Wayne.

It was recently announced that Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason will be taking over Batman & Robin and that Morrison will then begin his own new series, Batman, Inc.

The title will launch following Bruce Wayne's return and will feature a number of other DC Universe characters in addition to Batman himself.

"It's almost a team book," Morrison told Comic Book Resources. "I was looking at the Brave and the Bold cartoon which I love and I wanted to do that kind of thing - Batman with other people."

He says the new title follows what happens when Wayne has the idea to turn the 'Batman' identity into a franchise.

It was also announced that Batman will receive a new costume in the wake of the recent changes.

Bruce Wayne will return in September in the conclusion to The Return of Bruce Wayne, with the release date for Batman, Inc still to be confirmed.
