The four-issue series will feature the work of writers and artists including Mike Allred, Kurt Busiek, John Cassaday, Darwyn Cooke, Michael Golden, Gene Ha, Michael Kaluta, Garry Leach, Bruce Timm and Bill Willingham.
The Rocketeer was created by Stevens in 1982 and appeared at infrequent intervals into the mid '90s, gaining a cult following.
Stevens passed away in 2008 after a long battle with leukemia.
A "substantial portion" of the profits from the series will be donated to hairy cell leukemia research.
