It was revealed during the Marvel: Spider-Man panel at Comic-Con International that Slott will replace the rotating roster of writers including Bob Gale, Marc Guggenheim, Fred Van Lente, Zeb Wells and Slott himself, reports CBR.
This group of writers took over the book at the beginning of the 'Brand New Day' storyline, which concludes in August with the end of the 'One Moment in Time' arc.
Slott will launch a new status quo for the book in October in 'Big Time', with artists Humberto Ramos, Marcos Martin and Stefano Caselli.
The panel featured a host of teaser images showing Spider-Man in a Fantastic Four-themed costume and a black and green costume.
It was revealed that Spider-Man will be battling Mac Gargan - the current incarnation of Venom - in a redesigned Scorpion suit.
