Produced by Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti, the show follows the exploits of a team of superheroes comprising Robin, Superboy, Kid Flash, Miss Martian, Artemis and Aqualad.
"I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to reconnect with the characters, even if there are some differences between the guys I wrote and the new incarnation," David wrote on his blog. "I would love to tell you all about my first episode, but I'm afraid that it's… oh, what's the word… Secret."
David is best known for his extensive work for Marvel and DC, across titles including Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk and Aquaman. He has also written for film, television and video games.
Young Justice will air on Cartoon Network in November.
