DC Comics enters Converse deal

DC Comics has entered a deal with shoe company Converse to release superhero-branded footwear.

During last weekend's Comic-Con, DC employees modelled Converse high-tops bearing Batman, Superman and Green Lantern designs.

Writing on The Source, DC publicity manager Alex Segura explained that the shoes are "part of a promotional effort with our friends at Converse, the shoes merge two of my favourite things - a pair of snazzy Chuck Taylor's and comics".

Priced at $54.99 (£35.25), the limited edition trainers are available to purchase at any Journeys store or through the retailer's website.
