Marvel has released preview images for Matt Fraction's upcoming run on Thor which begins this September with issue #615.
The series is currently written by Kieron Gillen, who took over the series after J. Michael Straczynski's critically acclaimed run on the title which brought the series' titular character back into the Marvel Universe.
Fraction's run sees Asgard restored to its original state after being destroyed recently in the happenings of Marvel's event series Siege.
His first story arc will see Thor having to defend Earth from an invasion by another dimension, and serves as a starting point for new readers ahead of Marvel Studios' Thor film in summer 2011.
The new creative team of Fraction and artist Pasqual Ferry take over on the title from Thor #615, published September 22.
