Writer teases 'Fables' hundredth issue

He distributing blue scarves to fans in attendance, which were inscribed with the words: "Blue is coming back." However, Willingham wouldn't confirm whether the phrase referred to an upcoming story or not.
He would also not confirm whether they were linked to the upcoming one hundredth issue of Fables which will be published at the end of 2010.
He did tease that the special issue will feature a number of extras including both a board game and puppet theatre.
"Fables #98 will be the last of the 'Rose Red' arc before #99 switches gears to Mr Dark and sets up all of the action for the mammoth #100," Comic Book Resources reports Willingham as saying.
Fables spinoff series Jack of Fables will soon reach it's fiftieth issue, with Willingham and co-writer Matt Sturges guaranteeing only that they "will not kill every single character" but refusing to spoil any other aspects of the issue's plot.
