Cyanide & Happiness creator Dave McElfatrick has begun a petition for a working visa from the US.
McElfatrick - a resident of Ireland and one of the four creators of the popular webcomic - has been denied an 0-1 visa that will allow him to produce work with his collaborators in person, reports Robot 6.
"This particular visa is... specifically given to artists who have achieved a lot in their chosen field," wrote McElfatrick on explosm.net
"Sadly, the 'powers that be' have recently informed me that they don't believe Cyanide & Happiness to be worthy of this visa, claiming that it is not world-renowned."
The petition is designed to prove that the webcomic, which receives 374,325 hits a day, has a worldwide following.
