The title was unveiled at Comic-Con International in San Diego, reports Newsarama.
The Ultimate version of Thor first appeared as an ambiguous character in Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch's Ultimates, portrayed as a god or, possibly, a mentally unstable mortal.
"It's an origin story," said Secret Warriors and S.H.I.E.L.D. writer Hickman.
"The story starts eons ago in Asgard when Thor, Loki and Balder are younger men. We cover a great war in heaven, the fall of Asgard, the death and rebirth of Thor on Earth as a man. We cover all the highs and lows."
The four-issue miniseries will debut in November.
