According to CBR, the Losers illustrator will join writer Scott Snyder on the comic from issue #871.
Jock completed a three-issue stint on Detective Comics earlier this year, providing artwork for a Greg Rucka Batwoman plotline, which ran between issues #861 and #863.
"I always wanted to work on a Batman story... something I could be proud of," said Jock. "It's true I prefer standalone stories, and I'm probably not the guy to go to for big crossover events, but I feel Batman is a pretty good fit for what I try and do.
"I love the character, and Scott's idea just seemed so good that everything just clicked for me. So it was the story rather than the idea of taking on a monthly book that did it."
Snyder and Jock's upcoming arc - titled 'The Black Mirror' - will focus on the events following Bruce Wayne's return to Gotham City.
Detective Comics #871 is released in November.
