The main story in the annual will be written by House of Mystery scribe Matt Sturges with artwork by Luca Rossi and will intertwine with a number of smaller stories.
The side tales include a Peter Milligan penned Hellblazer story, Chris Roberson's I, Zombie, and Madame Xanadu written by Mike Kaluta.
"It all came together so well that we decided to officially make the annual an annual event," Sturges explained to CBR of the decision to publish the annual for a second year running.
"With the House of Mystery as a nexus for all of these different kind of stories, it all fits together very naturally," Sturges continued.
Mike Carey will pen a new Lucifer tale for the issue, reuniting with Peter Gross with whom he worked with on the original Lucifer ongoing series.
"I think it was great fun for them to spend a little time revisiting the characters in a way that they could just let loose and have fun," Sturges said of the creative team's reunion.
House of Mystery Halloween Annual will be published by Vertigo on October 13.
