Intended as an interlude in the 'Grounded' plotline, the fill-in story will appear in issue #704 and focus on Lois Lane.
Illustrated by Leandro Oliveira, the storyline sees the character arrive in the town where she attended college and cross paths with an old boyfriend who has now raised a family. The encounter forces her to examine her life choices.
The issue was announced following much-publicised delays in the series, which have been attributed to the ill health of writer J. Michael Straczynski.
The 'Grounded' story arc will resume in Superman #705.
