Tokyopop has released the first Hetalia: Axis Powers book simultaneously in print and digital.
The publisher partnered with comiXology to publish the first six chapters of Hidekaz Himaruya's hit manga online on September 21 - the same day that the print edition was released in the shops, reports ICv2.
It can be downloaded for $4.95 (£3.16), with the first volume available for free. The print edition costs more than twice as much at $10.99 (£7.02).
Future editions of Hetalia will also be made available in this way as a part of Tokyopop’s simultaneous print and digital releases on all popular platforms.
