The issue showcases the public trial of current Captain America, Bucky Barnes, after evidence was revealed to the press by supervillain Baron Zemo that proved Bucky had been the Winter Soldier.
Captain America writers originally reintroduced the character of Bucky Barnes to the series as brainwashed assassin the Winter Soldier following which he reformed and took up the Captain America mantle after Steve Roger's presumed death.
A number of Marvel Universe characters will appear in the issue to testify, including Hawkeye, Black Widow, and the recently-returned Steve Rogers.
It is currently unclear which characters will testify for or against Bucky, or whether there will be any surprise appearances during the story arc.
Captain America #611 is scheduled to be published October 27.
