Whedon's latest show Dollhouse - which was cancelled after the conclusion of its second season in January - will continue as a comic.
"We are going to be picking up Dollhouse where it left off on the television show, much like we did with Buffy," Dark Horse publicity director Jeremy Atkins told ICv2.
"We are starting as a miniseries and we will see where it goes from there. It will be written by [Joss Whedon's brother] Jed Whedon, who worked on the show as well."
The publisher also revealed that it will be releasing Willow and Spike titles to join Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Nine which will debut next year. Atkins said that the latter series will begin in mid-2011.
