Co-created with Bendis's daughter Olivia, Takio tells the tale of two bickering siblings who are forced to work together when they find themselves in possession of superpowers.
"It's the story of a multiracial, adoptive family," Bendis told CBR. "There are two sisters who are really getting on each other's nerves. They have an overprotective mother who makes them stay together all the time, and they drive each other crazy.
"Accidentally, as it often happens in these things, they get superpowers and become the first superheroes in the world. But because their overprotective mother would kill them if she finds out, they have to be home by six - no matter what."
Bendis and Oeming will continue to produce their other Icon title Powers, alternating their work on the two series.
Takio will debut in February 2011.
